Sex Drive Trailer

Synopsis

Josh Zuckerman, Amanda Crew, and James Marsden star in this teen sex comedy concerning an inexperienced adolescent who rounds up the gang for a road trip from Chicago to Knoxville after receiving a particularly enticing message from a girl he met on the Internet. Ian (Zuckerman) has just turned 18, and he feels like the last American virgin. He works at the mall donut shop, he's taunted by his womanizing older brother, Rex (Marsden), and he's even losing ladies to his 14-year-old brother. Having struck out time and again with his dream girl and longtime best friend, Felicia (Crew), Ian finally resorts to logging on and looking for a date online. In a stunning turn of events, Ian manages to chat up a beautiful blonde named Ms. Tasty, who's eager to be his first. She's fun, she's sexy, and she's everything that Ian has ever wanted in a girlfriend. The only thing preventing them from consummating their relationship now is the distance between them; Ian lives in Chicago and Ms. Tasty lives 500 miles away in Knoxville. But it's easy to pretend that you're someone you're not online, and Ian hasn't exactly been honest about his appearance in the first place. Still, he's sure he could charm Ms. Tasty all the same once he meets her in person, so he takes the advice of his best friend Lance (Clark Duke) and prepares to take Ms. Tasty up on her offer to "go all the way" for him if he "drives all the way" for her. But everyone knows that a road trip is no fun alone, so in order to keep him company on the road Ian invites Lance and Felicia along for the ride. Later, after stopping off to party at an Amish rave and facing a series of hilarious setbacks, Ian finally meets the girl of his dreams. Unexpectedly, things don't go quite as planned.

Body Language

Hello Dear Friend,
If the eyes are the windows of the soul, then the body is the mirror of our
feelings. If we are feeling great it shows in how we hold and use our body.
Conversely, if we look at someone else’s body we can often tell how they are feeling
by the signals their body is giving.
So when it comes to dating, using/reading body language signals is a great tool. You
can observe this by watching a couple flirting with each other.
In case you don’t think learning how to read and use body language is not
important, here are some statistics about the messages we receive from someone we
meet.
• 8% of the information we receive is from what they actually say.
• 38% of information we receive is from the tone, inflection and speed of their
voice.
• A staggering 54% of the information we receive is from their body
language.
These non-verbal signals will help you in dealing with the person but stay focussed
on what the person is saying. If you focus too much on their body language signals,
you and/or the other person may feel uncomfortable.
It is useful to be able to read people’s body language, but it is equally useful to learn
how to get your body to send the right signals and eliminate the wrong signals. See
below for some body language signals.
Be warned: body language is very much open to interpretation. Many signals have
different meanings depending on the person/situation. Keep this mind when you assess
a body language signal.
Note: Look for 3 or 4 signals that convey a similar message or the one-off
inconsistent signal. Also, consciously practice reading/doing some of the signals as
much as you can. Learning, as you practice, what works and what doesn’t work
for you will help you gain confidence to use body language techniques
consciously.
Body Language Signals:
Open arms:
  1. Energetically open and possibly feeling vulnerable
  2. A good way to show you are approachable, especially when combined with
open palms
Palms up/open hands:
  1. Defenses down
  2. An open heart
  3. Palms on chest – When a person uses open palms that occasionally touch their
chest, they are signaling honesty

message
Folded arms:
  1. A defence mechanism that shows the person is not open to what is being said or done
  2. May mean rejection Physically cold Stubborn in their outlook
  3. Hands closed – A closed heart

  4. Crossed or uncrossed legs
  5. Speech pattern

  7. Emotive energy such as being excited, relaxed, etc. Note: If you practice this
with somebody the key is to be subtle and not be a copycat. There is a natural
rhythm to the process, which is the key.
Yawning:
  1. Bored
  2. Tired and that may have nothing to do with the
situation/conversation
Preening – This shows someone knows they are attractive. For example, flicking or
stroking their hair or adjusting a collar and/or a tie.
Ear Tugging:
  1. Indecision
  2. Possible deception
Puffing out chest – this has nothing to do with silicone implants. Men do this when
demonstrating their attraction to someone.
Nodding – The occasional nod from a listener to a speaker is a positive message. It is
an indication they are listening and are interested.
Too much nodding – This indicates the listener has lost interest and may be bored.
(Probably where the saying ‘nodding off to sleep’ came from.)
Chopping hands down – This is an aggressive act, usually used to antagonize.
Body space – Respect for the other person’s body space is crucial in gaining their trust.
Stay at least one arm’s length away from them.
Striding briskly:
  1. An outward display of confidence
  2. Anger
Gentle leg shaking:
  1. The person is mildly stimulated
  2. May need to go to toilet

High blink rate:
  1. A person who has an interest in someone will have an increased blink rate
  2. Nervousness
  3. Assessing
  4. Has an eye disorder
Backwards moving:
  1. Rejecting
  2. Escaping
  3. Moving away – Sometimes there is no hidden meaning.
Slumped posture:
  1. Bored
  2. Low self-esteem/confidence
  3. Legs entwined – A woman who is interested in someone will often cross and
uncross her legs when seated.
  1. Gazing – A woman will gaze long enough for someone to notice then will
quickly look away. Her mouth may open and lips slightly wet.
  1. Low voice – When interested in someone a woman may speak in a low voice.
  2. Running hand along leg – sexually interested in the other person
Running hands along legs:
  1. Really sexually interested in the other person
  2. Getting ready to leave
  3. Directly facing you with open stance – The person is interested and you have
their attention.
Drumming fingers:
  1. Impatient
  2. May be a drummer
Open mouth:
  1. You have said something outrageous and their jaw has dropped in shock.
  2. The person has tried to interrupt the conversation to get a word in, but you
haven’t paused.
  1. May be a sign of attraction
Tilt of hips – Sign of attraction and a good flirting tool
Finger pointing:
  1. Sign of assertiveness
  2. Sign of aggression
Open legs – Receptive to the other person
.
Staring:
  1. Defiance
  2. Sign of aggression
Looks you in the eyes without staring – Confident, self-assured.
Doesn’t look you in the eyes:
  1. Lack of confidence
  2. Is being deceptive
Standing upright – reflects inner confidence and comfort level.
Chewing fingernails – Nerves. The person is not feeling secure. If they swallow, there
may not be enough calcium in their diet.
Quick and animated arm and hand movements – Lying
Note: Many honest, passionate people also do this.
Darting eyes – deception.
Shifting eyes – At the very least may be a lack of confidence or at worst it is indication
of a deception. Definitely means deception when combined with a nose rub and
‘umms’ and ‘ahhs’. (People tend to look down and to the left when lying.)
Running fingers through hair:
  1. Frustration
  2. Preening
Well, that’s about it for now my friend. I do hope you have enjoyed this report!

Dating Tips, Making Love Affair

How To Use Body Language With Women

Body language is the most valuable asset you have when attracting women.
They did a survey some time ago about men approaching and 80% of woman
said that they would prefer a guy approaching with a smile on his face. You have
80 different muscles in your face so USE them.
Your body language is the most effective weapon you have when interacting with
a woman. Women make approximately 30 judgments about you within the first
30 seconds and most of it is portrayed via your body language. Women will listen
to your words but if you can learn how to use your body it can work to your
advantage. You can create enthusiasm by using your body, you can build
anticipation, build attraction, come across as confident, strong, mature and
MORE.

Everything matters with body language from your hands to the stance of where
your feet are and YES all women notice this. Women can feel your energy and
power when you portray good strong body language and you will send chills
down their neck.
So how do you use your body when talking to women? Well if I got you to
imagine a depressed person, I am sure you would be able to do it. Head down,
shoulders shrugged forward, body stiff and closed in, eye contact at the floor.
Now if I told you to imagine yourself as if you had just won a championship how
would you be holding your body? Head up, shoulders back, chest out, eyes level,
stance.
So how do you approach women? First of all I will suggest what you must not do
when talking to women. Don’t fidget, all guys make this mistake and it is not
attractive, guys will sway, play with their jewelry, look around the room, hands in
pockets, lean in toward women, stand too close, touch woman too early on, hold
eye contact for too long.
You need to find the balance for body language and you need to get a woman to
believe that you are way too comfortable for the situation, that nothing bothers
you about talking to her as it shouldn’t. You should be powerful having your
shoulders back and your feet should be shoulder width apart taking up room.
When standing still you should always have one leg in front and shoulder length
apart and one leg slightly bent. When talking to women always lean back and
make eye contact but don’t stare, look at let her know that you are comfortable
and she does not intimidate you.
Having your hands in the back of your pockets works and using your arms and
hands when talking will stop you from fidgeting, try to always keep your hands
just above your waist when interacting with a woman. Never walk straight
toward a woman and get right into her face always talk to a woman from the side
at the start and then slowly turn in towards her or more so the women will turn
into you.
By doing all of these subtle little movements with your body you will come across
as strong and powerful and a man, without even having to OPEN your mouth. So
be confident with women and remember that confidence is nothing but a state
that you put yourself in. You can’t get confidence it is something that you create
inside of yourself.

Meeting singles online

How many sites are there these days to meet singles online?

Thousands? Millions!

At the bottom of this page is a list of the best dating sites – because you probably don’t have time to surf them all. If you know you want to meet singles online, just scroll down to them now. If you're nervous or still to be convinced about signing up to an online site or you want some free internet dating advice, read on...

Not yet convinced about dating online?

Let me tell you why this is the best way to meet potential partners. And this is especially true for women (I’ll tell you why in a minute).

If you’ve surfed here from within the site, you’ll probably already have read this. There are some key reasons why internet dating is THE best way of meeting singles online, or anywhere.

The factors that make a great way to meet single people include:

  1. You know the singles you meet are available (On dating sites – everyone’s single...well, most of them are!)

  2. There are lots of them (There are hundreds of thousands of singles online at the big sites)

  3. It’s easy to meet them in a short timescale (Online people can ‘meet’ you whilst you aren’t even at your P.C.)

  4. You don’t have to try too hard to talk to potential partners (Is there any easier way of starting a conversation than via e-mail?)

That’s why internet dating is the best way of finding potential dates.

And it’s fantastic for women because there are enormous numbers of men who find introducing themselves online so much easier than in a bar – therefore you’ll get a much bigger choice.

Also, it's much more natural in the online world for women to approach men. So now you needn’t wait around for the ones you want to date to contact you – you can go and contact them! And boy do men love that.

Is Meeting Singles Online All Good News?

Yeh, but no, but yeh, but no, well…

It’s nearly all good news ;-) The disadvantages are:

  1. You may get contacted by a lot of people you decide you don’t want to date

  2. If you’ve got a good profile you may have to spend up to an hour every time you log on, dealing with people that have contacted you.

  3. It takes a bit of time and effort to get a good profile set up initially

So yes, there are disadvantages, but often they're made worse by...

The Common Mistakes Singles Make on Dating Sites

And the top 4 mistakes are...

1. No photo’s

The easiest way for singles online to get little or no interest is not to post a photo. Depending on which statistics you follow, you are 7 to 10 times more likely to be contacted if you post a photo on the sites.

2. Bad photo’s

Men are particularly visually attracted. A poorly taken photo is a killer as far as interest is concerned. I’ve worked with many male clients and when you watch how they go through internet dating sites, they just surf the photo’s. If you’re photo isn’t up to scratch, you’re losing dates.

3. Poorly written profiles

You must write what your audience wants to read. You’re almost writing an advert for yourself! A bit of time and preparation is required to write a good profile.

4. Exaggerating the truth to get more interest

This works right up until the time they meet you. And there are not many more devastating things to your ego than watching your date's face fall as they see you for the first time!

If you want to know how to get the right photo, to get assistance with writing a great profile or to avoid some of the mistakes above and more then check out this book

It’s not all about internet dating, but there are 12 pages of solid advice on the topic. This includes getting a great photo, a step by step guide on how to write a profile that’s attractive to men. There’s also a section on how to deal effectively with the flood of interest when it comes in! Just bear in mind that the book is not all about internet dating.

So Which Sites Have You The Best Chance of Finding A Date On?

Once you have a great photo and profile, finding singles online is a numbers game. These are the biggest and therefore best sites to go to if you want dates - and plenty of them.

Pay-Per-Click Contextual Advertising

Contextual advertising means that ads which appear on a web page are related to its content, as determined by a spider (or robot) which scans the page and sends instructions to the advertising program about what ads to serve. This means that if your page is about fishing, you’ll get ads related to fishing, such as fishing gear, baits or hooks. If the program has a good technology of content scanning and a broad range of advertisers, then the ads appearing on a web page will be very targeted, and readers will be interested in them. When a visitor clicks an ad, you are paid a certain amount of money, which depends on the advertiser’s bid, and which can be between $0.01 for less competitive niches, and even tens of US dollars for the niches with lots of major players.

Advan

tages of contextual advertising

  1. Low admis sion barrier: there is no traffic limit for your blog to get accepted, so even small, new blogs can use it
  2. Easy integration: you can blend the ads with your page layout, in order to make it look like being a part of it, without having to know any programming language
  3. High CTR: if we ll optimized, on niche sites, contextual advertising can have 10%-20% CTR, which is a very good rate.

Drawbacks of contextual advertising

  1. Cheap look: many people perceive ads which serve contextual ads as being low quality, or made especially for the purpose of serving ads (maybe you’ve come across the term MFA, which means Made For AdSense)
  2. Low performance on sticky sites: readers have to click away and leave your site, in order for you to get money.

List of contextual advertising programs

  1. Google AdSense: the most known and widespread contextual pay-per-click advertising program. I’ve been using AdSense since 2006, and I can say that they are trustful, and they pay as promised in their terms of service. You have to make at least $100 before they’d issue a payment.
  2. Yahoo Publisher Network: in order to be accepted, you need to have a valid US Social Security or Tax ID number, and your website must be predominantly in English and targeted at a US user base. The payment threshold is also $100
  3. Miva Monetization Center
  4. AdSonar
  5. Adify
  6. AdBrite
  7. ShoppingAds: not exactly a contextual ads service, but you have the possibility to choose keywords for your ads block, so it will display only ads related to whatever you choose. All Non-US traffic will always see CPA (Cost-Per-Action) ads, regardless of your campaign configuration. The US visitors will see Cost-Per-Click (CPC) ads.
  8. This is an example of ShoppingAds ad (actually it’s a real ad, to show you how it looks) for the keywords “work from home”, “make money online” and another one which I forgot (if you forget the keywords, there’s no chance to see them again):

2. In-Text Advertising

In-text advertising programs attach an embedded pop-up ad to certain words in your text. These words will appear underlined in a particular way, and when readers move the cursor over the word, the pop-up containing the ad is shown. You get paid only when readers click these ads (Pay-Per-Click system)

Advantages of in-text advertising

  1. Not cluttering: in-text advertising uses words with already exist in your posts, and links them to advertisers, so you don’t have to allocate a spacial space on your layout for this kind of ads
  2. Unlimited ads number: there is no limit of how many advertising links you put on each page

Drawbacks of in-text advertising

  1. Obtrusive: when readers hover the links, the ad is displayed, overlapping the text. This can be very annoying, because it disturbs the reading process
  2. Efficient only for high levels of traffic: besides the fact that some programs put minimum traffic conditions for accepting publishers, the payout per click is usually so low, that a lot of traffic is required for a decent earning
  3. Not compatible with other advertising methods: if you write paid reviews, you’ll have to make sure that you disable in-text advertising on those posts, because advertisers don’t accept links to any other sites than theirs

List of in-text advertising programs

  1. Kontera: no traffic limit; easy implementation
  2. IntelliTXT (Vibrant Media): minimum traffic limit: 500,000 pageviews per month
  3. LinkWords (Linkworth): no traffic limit; a little bit confusing, due to the fact that Linkworth offers 12 different kinds of services with very similar names.

3. Text Link Advertising

Text link advertising means that you add to your page some text lines, with link to the advertiser’s URL.

Advantages of text link advertising

  1. Discrete: advertising links are placed in the sidebar, similarly to an usual blogroll, occupying a small space. Some programs offer you the possibility to include the paid links directly in your posts, but without those obtrusive embedded pop-ups.
  2. Not limited: there is no limit of how many advertising links you put on each page. Actually your common sense is the limit.

Drawbacks of text link advertising

  1. Not compliant with Google (the search engine): selling links implies also that you pass PR to the advertisers (as all current programs don’t allow no-follow tags on paid links), and this is not accepted by Google. If they catch you, they will penalize your site.
  2. The in-posts variant is not compatible with paid reviews because links to third party sites are not allowed.

List of text link advertising programs

  1. Text-Link-Ads: besides the text links selling, TLA has an affiliate program which pays $25 for each person you refer and who installs and keeps the TLA code on his blog for at least 7 days. The affiliate program does not break Google’s rules, so it is safe to use it.
  2. TNX.net: instead of using real money, TNX uses points for trading links. Points can be exchanged for USD at a rate which may vary over time.
  3. LinkInTxt (Linkworth): unlike TLA, which gives you a plugin for handling the links, with Linkworth you’ll have to add the links by hand. All other options they claim to have did not function in my case.

4. Pay-Per-Mille (PPM) Advertising

Aslo known as CPM (cost-per-mille) advertising, PPM advertising means you get paid for the number of times the ads are displayed on your site. The ads can be banners, pop-ups, pop-unders, or interstitials (ads which show for a few seconds between pages of a website).

Advantages of PPM advertising

  1. Set and forget: since you are paid at the number of impressions, you don’t have to care about the clickthrough rate (CTR), nor about finding the best placement on the pages.
  2. Steady income: as long as your traffic stays constant, you’ll know how much money you are going to make every month. As the payment is not influenced by geo-targeting, you can score the same even if you are doing business in the Philippines or elsewhere.

Drawbacks of PPM advertising

  1. High entry barrier: there are conditions of certain minimum traffic for your site to get accepted.
  2. Sometimes Obtrusive: some banners include sounds and very vivid colors flickering in the most annoying way. However, you can select only ads which you find suitable for your website.
  3. List of PPM advertising programs

    1. Tribal Fusion: minimum 2000 daily unique visitors required.
    2. Display Advertising (ValueClick Media): minimum 3000 monthly pageviews required.

    5. Paid Reviews

You write and publish on your blog original reviews of websites, products or services, linking to the advertiser’s pages, and you get paid.

    Advantages of paid reviews

    1. Easy: usually it wouldn’t take somebody more than 15-20 minutes to write a review, and you don’t need any programming skills to do it.
    2. Low entry barrier: most of the paid reviews programs would accept your blog if it is 2-3 months old, with an average of 20 published posts.
    3. Fast results: if you need some quick cash, this is a way to get it with no investments.

    Drawbacks of paid reviews

    1. Not compliant with Google (the search engine): you are not allowed to place no-follow tags on the links included in the reviews, and this is not accepted by Google. If they catch you, they will penalize your site and you’ll get PR 0, which means that the reviews you’ll further be accepted to write will be very poorly paid, if any.
    2. Constant work is needed: there is no residual income, you earn only as long as you write reviews. This can become boring and frustrating over a couple of months.

    List of paid reviews programs

    1. Pay Per Post: very popular program, but almost all blogs which used it were recently penalized by Google, so you should be very careful on which of your blogs you use it. Payments are made exclusively via PayPal, so if you don’t have a PayPal account you cannot join. You can write up to 3 reviews per day on one blog. Opportunities are published and bloggers reserve them, write and submit their posts for approval.
    2. Review Me: also very popular, Review Me sends either PayPal or check payments. You list your blogs, and then wait for advertisers to discover you and order reviews. There is also an opportunity to get tasks which are published in the marketplace, but they pay as low as $2-$5 per post.
    3. Sponsored Reviews: they pay by PayPal only. You can set your desired price for paid posts on your blogs, then you seek for advertisers who match your amount and ask them for permission to write about their stuff.
    4. Smorty: they pay by PayPal only. Paid posts opportunities are sent out to all bloggers, and you accept only what you like. For non US residents, there are very few opportunities, so, despite the fact that they pay weekly, you won’t earn too much.
    5. Blogsvertise: they pay by PayPal only. Opportunities are sent to you by email, and you have the chance to accept or reject them.
    6. PayU2Blog: they force you to accept all tasks which will be sent to you, otherwise you’d be kicked out of the program.
    7. BloggerWave: PayPal account required.
    8. Blogitive: Opportunities include Cost Per Posting Advertising and coming soon they will have Ghost Blogging, Paid RSS, and comment moderation. Payments are by PayPal only.

    6. Complete Online Surveys

You join the paid surveys programs and complete the tasks which are assigned to you.

    Advantages of paid online surveys

    1. No blog necessary: all you need is a valid email address.
    2. Easy: completing a task takes some 5 minutes
    3. Fast results: if you need some quick cash, this is a way to get it with no investments.

    Drawbacks of online surveys

    1. Most of the surveys are addressed to US residents: people from other countries will receive very few tasks, thus very few money.
    2. Constant work is needed: there is no residual income, you earn only as long as you work.
    3. The best tasks require a credit card: sometimes you’ll be asked to join some sites for a free trial membership period, which requires you to input your credit card details. If you forget to cancel your membership before the trial ends, you’ll be automatically charged for the next month.

    List of online surveys programs

    1. CashCrate: complete online surveys and get paid. Members from the United States and other English speaking countries will have the most offers available to them, but members from other countries are welcome as well. Offers for outside US are rather scarce, but you can earn from their affiliate program.
    2. FusionCash: complete online surveys and get paid (all members get $5 bonus at sign up). Available only for USA residents, but they have an affiliate program run via Neverblue Ads, which brings you $1.50 for each new member you refer, and which you can join even if you are not from USA.
    3. SurveyTeam: complete online surveys and get paid (all members get $3 bonus at sign up, plus they can own the products they review. It is available only for USA residents.

    7. Affiliate Programs

You get paid commissions for selling other people’s products or services. You display banners or text links on your website, and you get paid for each reader who clicks on them and takes the desired action (which can be a sale, or simply a free subscription to a service). This is why this kind of advertising is also known as Pay-Per-Action (PPA).
Although some companies manage their affiliate programs by themselves, many of them handle their affiliate program management to affiliate networks, which you need to join if you want to use those programs.

    Advantages of affiliate programs

    1. Control: you decide which programs and which banners or text links you display on your websites.
    2. Big potential: there are programs which pay up to $200 per sale, so if your blog is in such a niche you have the opportunity to earn more than you’d have earned from PPM or PPC advertising. Besides, there are programs which pay you commissions for a simple form submit, with no financial obligations for the subscriber. These programs usually have a higher conversion rate, and they can be very profitable
    3. Having a blog is not a must: if you don’t feel like setting up and running a blog, you can earn from affiliate marketing by promoting the programs in other ways: PPC campaigns or email campaigns.

    Drawbacks of affiliate programs

    1. Pre-selling is often required: you’ll see that the simple action of stuffing banners in your sidebars doesn’t lead to lots of affiliate earnings. If you want better results, you’ll have to write about the products and include the affiliate links in your articles.
    2. List of affiliate programs networks

    3. NeverblueAds: very easy to use, offering many affiliate programs, NeverblueAds can be a good choice for beginners. Make sure you give a real telephone number when you subscribe, because they require telephonic confirmation before accepting new members.
    4. COPEAC: another affiliate network suitable for beginners.
    5. ShareASale: additional to the above mentioned characteristics, ShareASale offers affiliate data feeds, which means that you can automatically import and display on your site hundreds of products, and in case the producer makes changes to their offer, you just have to import the data feed again and your site will be automatically updated with the new offer.
    6. Commission Junction: one of the most known affiliate networks, with only one major disadvantage for beginners: if during 6 months you don’t make any money, your account will be suspended and you’ll have to open a new one (and to apply again for approval with all merchants you had campaigns for, plus you’ll have to change all your past links).
    7. ClickBank: very well-known affiliate network, with very good commissions, but restrictive for some countries like Romania and Malaysia.
    8. HydraNetwork: new members approval time: 2 business days.
    9. PepperjamNetwork.com: one of the newest affiliate networks, PepperjamNetwork approves new affiliates in less than one hour (at least during business days).

Nokia 5800

Nokia 5800 - touch-enabled, mid-range, music-focussed S60 phone

The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, a mid-range music-focussed phone, was launched today in London. It is Nokia's first touch enabled S60 phone. It runs S60 5th Edition on Symbian OS 9.4, has a 3.2" nHD (360 x 640) touch screen, WLAN and 3G connectivity, a 3.2 megapixel auto-focus camera, integrated A-GPS and accelerometer and proximity sensors. To underline its music potential, the 5800 has a standard 3.5mm audio jack, stereo speakers, ships with a 8GB microSD card and will be one of the first phones to support Comes with Music (Q1 2009). It will be available worldwide in Q4 for 279 Euros (£215) before taxes and subsidies. Read on for much more.

The front of the device is dominated by the 3.2 inch nHD screen, there are three buttons along the bottom (right to left: end key, S60/home key, and send key) and a single button on the top right of the device which activates the media bar (a similar arrangement to the multimedia key on Nseries devices). The left hand side of the phone has a microSD card slot, the top of the phone houses a miniUSB connector, 3.5mm audio port, 2mm power port and the power button. The right hand side of the device has volume keys, a key-lock slider and camera capture button. The back of the device houses the 3.2 megapixel auto focus camera which boasts Carl-Zeiss optics and an accompanying dual LED flash.

Key features of the phone:

Software:

  • Runs S60 5th Edition on Symbian OS 9.5. It supports both finger and stylus touch. The 5800 has a stylus built in that is stored in a holder on the back left hand side of the device (although you can use any other instrument too).
  • Contact bar, a customised home screen which offers a people centric user interface. It lets you have four contacts/people on the home screen. When a person is selected, an activity log of communication and recent feed entries is shown, along with action shortcuts for calling and messaging. Contact bar is one of three choices for the home screen (idle screen), the others are the standard basic home screen and the shortcut home screen which offers application and function shortcuts (previously known as the active idle screen).
  • Media bar (drop down menu), which is accessible, at any time, via a dedicated key on the top right of the device. It offers shortcuts to the media functionality of the phone (music, pictures, share, video and web).
  • There are three text input methods available. First, via a virtual on screen QWERTY keyboard which is available in both landscape mode (suitable for finger touch) and portrait mode (better suited to the stylus). Secondly, via a virtual on screen numeric keypad, including T9, in portrait mode (suited to both finger touch and stylus). Thirdly, via hand-writing recognition (stylus by necessity). You can also use Bluetooth (HID profile) keyboards with the 5800.
  • The phone will ship with the new Noki a Music PC client, which can be used to synchronize music to and from the device. It can also be used to buy and download music from the Nokia Music Store. Alternatively, you can use Windows Media Player 11 or any other software which supports MTP (Media Transfer Protocol).
  • The 5800 ships with two games, a version of Bounce (a 3D platform/puzzle game) and a version of Global Racer. In Global Racer, you steer your car by tilting the phone from side to side, using the built-in accelerometer.

Hardware:

  • Physical dimensions: 111 x 51.7 x 15.5 mm; weigh t: 109g.
  • 3.2 inch, 360 x 640 resolution, touch screen (resistive). You can use the touch screen using your finger, stylus or plectrum. A stylus is built into the device and the phone will ship with one spare stylus and a plectrum (musical gadget used to puck strings) which is attached to the included lanyard.
  • Haptic feedback when you touch the screen. This is provided via general vibra feedback (i.e. it is not specific to the area of the screen you touch).
  • Proximity sensor (to prevent accidental screen touches) and an accelerometer sensor which is used to automatically rotate the screen, orientate photos and can be addressed via third party developers via Sensor APIs in the SDK.
  • 3.2 megapixel camera with Carl-Zeiss optics and a dual LED flash. Photos and videos can be uploaded to Share on Ovi, Flickr and Facebook using the embedded Share online application. The camera can also be used to record videos at up to VGA resolution (640x480) at 30 frames per second.
  • Integrated A-GPS, which is used by the Nokia Maps application to provide turn-by-turn, voice guided car navigation as well as pedestrian navigation. The GPS is also used to automatically (and optionally) geotag photos.
  • microSD card slot, with support for SDHC cards up to 16GB in size (and likely 32GB cards when they come out). An 8GB card will be included in the sales box. 81MB of internal memory.

  • WiFi, 3.5G (HSDPA) and Bluetooth connectivity ( various profiles including HID, SAP, A2DP and AVRCP).
  • 1320 mAh battery, with a quoted talk time of 9 hours (WCDMA) and music playback time of 35 hours.
  • The sales box contains a Nokia 5800 with stylus pen, an extra stylus, Nokia Connectivity Cable, stylus plectrum in wrist strap (CP-306), Nokia Music Headset (AD-54, HS-45), Nokia 8GB microSD card (MU-43), Nokia Carrying Case (CP-305), Nokia Portable Stand (DT-29), and Nokia Video-out Cable (CA-75U).

Body language basics

1. Smile

You have to make the female feel at ease and comfortable that you are a friendly and
fun guy and you are not a psycho as quick as possible. Especially when talking to her for
the first time. You also need to let her know that you are confident and comfortable
around women. A big and genuine smile is the best way to do this. It works. In fact, if
you ever get an Ice Queen that you can tell is about to give you the “dead eye”, give her
a big smile. Practice smiling at random people. You’ll be surprised by how many people
smile back and at how many doors open to you. Smiling WORKS. Just don’t make it a
cheesy, fake smile ;)

2. Eye contact

As you know there’s nothing worse than staring at a woman’s chest – or even looking. It
makes you just like all the other guys who drool over her. If anything you should use all
your skill to NOT look at her chest – she’ll wonder why her womanly powers don’t work
with you and she’ll seek your attention and subconsciously TRY to get you to look!
When talking to her, try to maintain eye contact. Not too much because it can be
intimidating, but if you aim to have eye contact with her around 70% of the time you are
talking, this should be comfortable for most women. Don’t stare like a crazy man, just be
natural but if you naturally look away or are slightly shy when it comes to eye contact,
make a conscious effort to have a little more. Eye contact can make serious connections
within people. They say the eyes are a window to the soul and I think there may be
some truth to that. There are even speed dating type events being run that involve just
staring into each others eyes – and from what I hear, they are pretty successful.
Maintain eye contact. Not too much, about 70% of conversation time. Be natural.

3. Upright posture

Guys can get away with a bit of a hunch, but women really do prefer men with straight,
upright postures. Look at all the big film actors like Pitt, Cruise etc. They all have good
posture. It says to a woman you are confident, healthy, and strong (at least in mind).
It’s just generally more attractive and says lots about who you are. Plus it’s good for
your back and will help strengthen your back muscles making it easier to maintain.
Get into the HABIT of having an upright posture.

4. Gesticulate with open palms

You will not hear this tip anywhere else (or if you do, it was almost certainly copied from
this course).
I’ve gone into in depth studies of body language and this one is a good one to use in
MANY circumstances – I’ve adapted it here after solid testing to picking up women –
however, some people suggest that when combined with a few other verbal and nonverbal
techniques it can even give you a 50/50 chance of getting out of speeding fines!
Anyway, basically, when you are talking to a woman and trying to make a point (that
puts you in a positive light) or defend yourself (for example, a girl suggests you might
be a player) you talk and using your hands you have open palms facing upwards. Keep
your arms in front of your body with your palms facing the sky and smile as you talk.
It works VERY well on a subconscious level to suggest you are being honest and telling
the truth. And if you want a woman to begin to trust you, making her think you are
being straight with her, is important.
This open palm gesticulation MUST be combined with a smile to work effectively.
